Plan Ahead.

With just a little planning now, you will save time and headaches when moving day gets here.

Reserve or Rent Your Storage Unit Now. Lock in your rental price by reserving a storage unit ahead of time, or renting a storage unit now. Prices of storage units can change based on availability, so it’s best to take care of it now rather than waiting.

It’s Never Too Early to Start Packing. By starting now, you will ensure organization and ample supplies before the stress of moving creeps closer. If you run out of boxes or packing paper, you have plenty of time to resupply and keep going. By packing a little every day or at least one day a week, you will be well prepared for the big move.

Reserve Our Free Moving Truck. As soon as you know what date you will be moving, you should contact us and reserve our moving truck. It is available on a first come first served basis, so it’s best to get on our schedule early. You can use it for free to move into your storage unit, or rent it for other moves at better rates than other rental companies.

Ask Yourself Important Questions.

Part of being fully prepared is asking questions and having the answers. Start off with a list of what you need to find out and as you get the answers you can fill them in. Here are a few to start with:

How Long Will I Need The Storage Unit? Some people want to keep a storage unit just during the moving process, so a few months will be good. Others want to take their time and really sort through their belongings before, during and after the move, and may keep their unit for 6 months or more. While others decide to keep their storage unit year round to organize all that stuff you don’t need all the time; such as holiday decorations, seasonal items, RV storage during the winter and so on. You may also want to keep all those family heirlooms safe for your kids or grandkids so they can inherit them when they purchase their first home.

How Many Rooms Of Furniture Will I Have To Store? This is an important question. Knowing the answer to this will help you figure out what size storage unit you are going to need. You don’t want to just guess and then end up not having a large enough unit and running out of space before you are done. If you need help figuring out what size you will need, talk to our friendly property manager for some help.

How Many Boxes Will I Need? Knowing what you are moving and how much stuff you have will help determine how many boxes you will need. The worst that can happen is running out of boxes while you are packing. We can help you estimate how many boxes you are going to need based on the size of your home and types of rooms you are packing.
